a 1 man shop. There are 4 Tabs on this spreadsheet. On is for printing out
to show how a shop always makes more with MAS than without it. The other
does the same but is made for On Screen Demonstration if you are demoing
MAS. Plug in the customers answers and you have the proof. For those who have not
bellied up to the bar and gotten Excel, I have include Adobe Pages to print

Motor vs Chilton.zip This zipped file contains an Adobe Acrobat file
showing Labor Time comparisons between the "Chilton 2004" Labor Guide vs the
Mitchell. The comparison was done with the electronic versions of both not
the print. The comparison uses the same format as my other comparisons using
7 vehicles and the same 9 repair procedures. The comparison is pretty
telling. Motor offers and average of 2.9 Hours more for these operations.
That is $144 average difference. Wow. Can shops afford to buy the cheap
"make believe" labor guide? I will be making some more comparisons in the
near future on other aspects of this "deceptive" competitor.
This file now includes an Excel version you can
edit.
